Real Madrid Boss Florentino Perez Calls Cristiano Ronaldo 'Imbecile' And 'Sick' In Leaked Audio

Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, called Cristiano Ronaldo an 'idiot' and a "sick man" in a 2012 conversation leaked in Spain.

After audio of him calling Raul Casillas and Iker Casillas "the two great frauds" at Real Madrid, in a conversation recorded in 2006, the president released more dated tape recordings to the media.

El Confidencial revealed private conversations between the Portuguese couple, the second of which was dated October 2012, adding to the embarrassment Perez feels so soon after his Raul attack.

"This man is an idiot, a sick person. This guy may seem normal to you, but he isn't normal. He wouldn't do the same things that he does.

Ronaldo, a Manchester United player who had previously signed a record PS 80 million deal with Real Madrid in 2009, joined Real Madrid. Perez remained at Bernabeu up until 2018.

In retrospect, it is a shameful takedown of Ronaldo since the attacker went on and became Real Madrid's leading goal scorer.

Ronaldo finished his time in Madrid in 2018 with 451 goals and 438 games.

Four Ballon d'Or Awards and four Champions League titles were also won by him.

Mourinho previously stated that Perez "loves" him, and they have a close relation. However, he was in charge of Real from 2010 to 2013, and it seems that a year before Perez was fired, Mourinho had had enough.

The president said, "These are men with a terrible ego, both spoiled coaches and them, and they don't see reality."

"Mourinho is an idiot." He doesn't want to play. He's not normal. He doesn't have a driver's license. He has felt overwhelmed by the pressure.

Mourinho was able to overthrow Pep Guardiola at Barcelona with a LaLiga title. Still, most of Perez's frustration and anger revolved around Ronaldo and Mourinho's relationship with Jorge Mendes, the agent.

These latest revelations follow a brutal takedown of two club legends, Casillas & Raul.

Perez claimed that Raul, the striker, had 'destroyed' Real Madrid by his negativity. He also blamed him for his departure earlier in the year. Casillas, however, is described as a "great failure."

On Tuesday, the president issued an official statement stating that the comments were removed from a wider context and plan to pursue legal action.

It read, "Given El Confidencial's news, in which phrases attributed to me are reported, it seems necessary to clarify. During clandestine recordings by Jose Antonio Abellan, these phrases tried to sell them many years ago without success.

"It's amazing now that, despite all the time that has passed, El Confidencial reports them here today.

"They are phrases that have been isolated from the context in which they occur.

"For them to reproduce now after so many decades have passed since those conversations occurred, as I understand from my participation as a promoter of the Super League.

"I have referred the matter to my lawyers. They are currently studying the options."
